Studio DHP is the creative practice of Daphne Hawkins Parker. Her sculptural ceramics evoke a sense of suspended transformation. The one-of a kind pieces are layered with molded elements, slips, and experimental glazes, then multi-fired to produce striking, unpredictable surfaces. With a bold design sensibility and an instinct for play, Studio DHP creates works that feel alive and modern.
Under the banner of Studio DHP, Nashville-born and Philadelphia-based ceramicist and designer Daphne Hawkins Parker channels her creative energy into forms that blur the line between art and object. Her practice lives in the space between exploration and deliberate construction. “I draw from oceanic, botanical, and geological formations to build a world of elemental energy. Moving fluidly between coil-building, mold-making, and 3D fabrication, my surfaces and multi-fired glazes resemble artifacts from an ecosystem both familiar and altogether alien.”
